Met a fellow member at the 2010 Gathering with steeroids on a '68. It was the 1st time I had seen them. He had full length headers likewise then information technology was a piffling trickier getting them in. The turning radius is slightly larger with steeroids, don't know about the other brands. I have steeroids.

I took my fourth dimension Richard, and I have a lift. Information technology took me the better office of 2 days, at my very casual footstep, but I wanted to be sure the install was perfectly executed. Nosotros had a Corvette practiced out here, and I took information technology to him to insure information technology was washed right. He gets $125. He re-shimmed the front and checked the rear. It steers and handles more like a modernistic machine now. No regrets here.

I did the Borgeson steering box.
You don't lose the turning radius as with the Steeroid arrangement
It was much cheaper and easier to install than the Steeroid system.
It also looks similar information technology came from the factory that manner.
If the Borgeson system wasn't available I would accept done the Steeroid.

I installed the steeroids system on my 82 nigh v years ago. The install was fairly simple simply I, like Jimmy, took my time and information technology took me a piffling over twice the estimated 5 hours. It is far and away the best upgrade Ive made on my vette but, every bit you already know, it aint inexpensive. The system bolted to original holes and all brackets and hardware were included and of quality structure. One time getting everything adjusted and a 4 wheel alignment it drives great. Steering is quick, positive and absolutely NO crash-land steer. Information technology took me a little while to adjust to the quick steering after driving with the worn original steering gear; if y'all motion the bike at all, the car is going to respond accordingly.
I cant speak to how it compares with the other systems out there but I'd never get back.

I took a await at the Borgeson steering. Information technology looks like there maybe a big difference. When I decided to go with steeroids I was having issues with getting good steering command valves and my steering box was worn. the steeroids unit replaces the steering box command valve and damper. Someone who has the borgeson unit of measurement, does it supervene upon all these components? Information technology does seem that both are a large improvement.
